Go to you phone’s home screen and select Settings icons:
Scroll down and select Mail, Contacts, Calendar:
Select Add Account:
Select Other:
Fill in fields with information requested and click Next:
Select IMAP and click Next:
Now configure settings for INCOMING MAIL SERVER:
Host Name: mail.e-mediait.com
User Name: Your email account name
Password: Password provided to you
Now scroll down a little and configure OUTGOING MAIL SERVER and click Next when finished:
Host Name: mail.e-mediait.com
User Name: Your email account name
Password: Password provided to you
If information has been entered correctly, you should see the following screen:
Your email account is now setup but we’re not quite done.
iOS email can be a little temperamental and default settings may not work after and iOS update or iOS may randomly attempt to enable SSL which can break your account.
Go back to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and select the account you just added:
Select your account:
Scroll down and select OUTGOING MAIL SERVER:
Select the PRIMARY SERVER:
Configure SMTP settings as follows:
- Enable SSL
- Select Password type: Password, MD5 or NTLM
- Change Port number from 587 to 465 (Port 465 is standard port for SMTP SSL)
Click Done when finished.
Now we need to configure INCOMING MAIL SERVER settings.
Scroll down a little and select Advanced:
Configure OUTGOING settings as follows:
- Enable SSL
- Select Password type: Password, MD5 or NTLM
- Change Port number from 587 to 465 (Port 465 is standard port for SMTP SSL)
- No changes are required for IMAP Path Prefix or S/MIME.
Click Account and top left when finished.
Congratulations. Your account should now be working properly and shouldn’t require changes in the future.
